I wanted to buy and sell diamond ring settings. I had worked for a pawn shop for about two years when I came up with this idea. I asked my boss if I could rent the store front that I knew he also owned next door and he agreed to it. I had seen many young and old brides come in looking to buy and sell their wedding rings. I think that some of them felt a little bad about being in a pawn shop so my idea would help them to feel better about the need to sell diamond jewelry.

I came up with a fancy name that made it sound like some sort of discount jewelry store that accepted any type of nice pieces. My first customer was looking to sell diamond ring settings that were made out of sterling silver. I gave her a fair price, just a little bit more then what she would have been offered next door.

The idea to sell diamond jewelry is paying off very well also since my old boss brings over some of the nicer pieces that he has to display at my store. He has noticed that a lot of women that would never frequent his store stop into mine all the time to see the ever changing inventory.
